The Youth Business Grant (YBG) is a summer program that encourages young people in the communities of Los Alamos, Jemez Springs, Espanola, and Pojoaque to open and run their own business. The goal of the program is to help young entrepreneurs learn about the day-to-day responsibilities involved in managing a business and teach them firsthand the advantages and disadvantages of operating a business. The program awards a number of grants of up to $400 to youth ages 13 to 19 to start a summer business.
